Yoshie "Mimi" McGinnis, 89, Burton, OH died Monday, January 3, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born September 25, 1921 in Kyoto, Japan, daughter of the late Kasaburo and Tame Ogawa. Also preceded by her husband, Ralph E. McGinnis who died August 11,1988. She is survived by two sisters: Michie Yamagata, Teruko Ogawa, both of Japan and numerous nieces and nephews here and extended family back in Japan. Member of Newbury Community Church in Ohio. She was a serious and diligent student and was never absent for all 11 years of school including 6 years of elementary and 5 years of women's high school. She had many talents including sewing, knitting and ceramics. Friends received 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E.
