Simon, William "Dina", 86, long-time resident of Charles, passed away December 21, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born May 1, 1930, in Charles, the son of late George and Mary (Seibert). Also, preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years Marion Rose (Bracken) on May 31, 2016; grandchildren Stephanie and Stephen Bretz; brothers George, John and Joseph Simon; sisters Elizabeth Biondo, Mary Kerekes, Helen Ernhardt, Margaret Caparimo and Irene Devlin. Survived by children Debra Gindlesperger and husband Marvin, Davidsville; Diana Hipp and husband Raymond, Johnstown; William Simon and wife Connie, Cramer; grandchildren Nikki (Mike) Simpson, Steven (Autumn) Gindlesperger, Jason (Angela) Bretz, Justin (Vicki) Gindlesperger, Ralph (Kirsten) Bretz; step-grandchildren Jennifer Cochran, Maria Glance, Nicole (Joseph) Messina; great-grandchildren Caiden, Davis, Kaitlyn, Addison, Sierra, Owen, Miles; step great-grandchildren Dayton, Alexis, Noah; brother Frank Simon, Michigan; sister Goldie Mack, Clyde. Bill was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward; Knights of Columbus, US Army veteran and a retired UMWA coalminer. A Man of faith and Integrity, Dina will be fondly remembered for his beautiful lush gardens, kettles of homemade soups at the campground, fixing motorcycles, and his many handmade "contraptions." He will forever be at peace with his loving Marion. Friends will be received 3-7 PM Monday at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward. Rev. Robert Washko celebrant. Internment Armagh Cemetery. Memorial donations may be to Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Rd., Indiana, PA 15701, Habitat for Hounds, 805 Luray Ave, Johnstown, PA 15904, or a charity of ones choice.
