Born in Johnstown on October 26, 1929, He is the son of the late William D., Sr., and Helen (McCurdy) Nesmith. He joins his lovely wife of almost 70 years Louise (Moore) Nesmith. Married in Robinson on August 17, 1948. They had two sons, David Wayne Nesmith and his late wife Marilyn Sue; and Everett Nesmith, both of New Florence. They also have four grandchildren Shawn, Rick, Richard and Raymond Nesmith and great-Grandchildren Sierra, Colton and Cameron Nesmith. A graduate of New Florence High School in 1947 Bill worked in the Wiremill at Bethlem Steel Corp., Johnstown for 38 years. William and Louise loved to fish together and Bill also loved to work on the boys sawmill. He loved working in his yard. He and Louise did everything together.
