Vanita L. "Vandy" Tucci Weaver Permar 74, Greensburg, died October 16, 2023, in hospice care at Twin Lakes of Greensburg. Vandy was born July 6, 1949, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Ruth J (Stegner) Keefner & Charles W Weaver. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Greensburg.
Vandy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Howard C (Clark) Permar Sr. Former husband James E Boice Sr, son James E (Jamie) Boice Jr and stepdaughter Kimberly Permar; brother Vennor J. Weaver, Sr.; half-sister Sonyal (Weaver) McKeever
She is survived by granddaughter Eliza M Boice 2 great grandchildren David and Emma Yurt, Mount Pleasant; niece Maureen B Black, Seward; nephew Vennor J (Jim) Weaver & Kimberly, Elizabeth; nieces Cindy L (Weaver) Brennsteiner and Karl, Daisytown; Peggy (McKeever) Elk, Mohnton; Penny McKeever, Gloucester, VA. Stepchildren Howard C (Clark) Permar Jr and Lisa, Vero Beach FL; Michele (Missy) Dodson and Mark, Nashville TN; Vicky Hartlep, LaFollette TN; 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, 6 great-nieces and nephews
Vandy was a devoted caregiver, loved feeding people, 70s music & their dog Beau. Known for her gentle grace and beauty.
She was a skilled waitress and last worked at DiSalvo's Station Latrobe.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, October 23, 2023, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1325 Mission Road, Latrobe. Inurnment Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
