Theresa Paulette Penrose

Theresa Paulette Penrose, 69, Armagh passed away May 12, 2026, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born July 8, 1956, in Johnstown, the daughter of late William and Eleanor (Barlak) Troska. Also preceded in death by husband Wayne Thomas Penrose and sister Barbara Rose

Survived by her children Joseph Penrose and Jennifer Penrose, her grandchildren Brent, Leo, Shayla, Santonio, and Enzo; also survived by her Aunt Charlotte Barlak, brothers Michael Troska and Lawrence Troska along with several of her beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Theresa was known and loved by many. She always had an ear and hug for anyone. She was amazing at decorating extravagant wedding cakes, birthdays, and even cookies she was known for in her earlier days by word of mouth around the region. She had a love for numbers and accounting rarely seen. She donated tons of her time, love, and effort to most anyone who needed it including the homeless in Johnstown. She was also an amazing seamstress who made many gowns, costumes, and even some gowns for her bridesmaids.She was very talented in many crafts and loved decorating for every holiday.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where service will be held noon Friday. Private interment Armagh Cemetery. Cemetery.
