Penrose, Sue C., 70, New Florence went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2016. Born April 1, 1946 in W. Wheatfield Twp. The daughter of late Merle and Ima Jean (Brendlinger) Cable. Also preceded in death by brothers and sister Earl Wayne Cable, Warren Cable, Robert Cable, Jack Cable and Jenny Cable. Survived by husband of almost 51 years Duane; sons Robert W. Penrose, Brush Valley; Paul J. Penrose, Natrona Heights; Darren M. Penrose and wife Lauren, Greensburg; grandchildren Jordan, Ashley, Carter and Aubrey; sister Gloria Jean Short, New Florence; Barry Cable, Ligonier. Sue was a member of Germany United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, active with the Willing Workers, Choir and Prayer Meeting. She enjoyed Christmas, crafts and loved her grandchildren, NASCAR and gospel music especially Bill Gaither. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday and 10 am till time of service 11 am Tuesday at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, with her son Robert Penrose officiating. Internment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
