Stella L. (Layman) Dias, 90, Blairsville (Heshbon) died September 4, 2012 at the Communities at Indian Haven. Born April 14, 1922 in Robinson the daughter of late Charles and Hulda Layman. Also preceded in death by husband Harry W. Dias who died March 7, 2010 and sisters Eva Penrose, Edith Penrose, Ruth Clark and Dorothy Johnston. Survived by daughters Joann Bertalino and husband Bob, New Florence: Linda Painter and husband David, Indiana; grandchildren Bob, Mike and Rick Bertalino, Tammy Duke and Melissa Foust; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Irene Hill, Blairsville; Ethel Potochniak, New Florence (Shady Grove). Stella was an avid gardener who enjoyed her flowers, canning, baking and needle point. A member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church where she was active in many church activities. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 11 am Saturday Pastor Barry Duke officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
