Rose Marie (Fratrick) Altemus, 85, Armagh, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 30, 1940, in Fairfield Township, Pennsylvania, Rose lived a life defined by devotion to her family and God, kindness, strength, and compassion.
Rose served as the former postmaster at the Brush Valley Post Office in Brush Valley, Pennsylvania.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; Michael and Josephine (Marino) Fratrick; brother, William Fratrick; and daughter, JoAnn Altemus.
Rose is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Donald Altemus; her son, Adam Altemus and wife Weslie; her daughter, Elizabeth Susick and husband Michael; granddaughter, Caityln Marlowe; granddaughter, Laura Moore, and her husband, Collin; grandson, David Susick; granddaughter Draegan Altemus; and great-grandson, Kaven Marlowe.
Rose's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved and created lasting memories that will continue to be treasured by generations to come. Her warmth, caring nature, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rose requested that there be no funeral services. Private Interment Brush Valley Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh. Please remember Rose through acts of kindness and by sharing the stories and memories that made her so special.
Rose will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
