Gamble, Robert L., 86, New Florence passed away peacefully at home Sunday August 31, 2014. He was born July 23, 1928 in Bolivar the son of late Lafayette and Mildred (Hall) Gamble. Also preceded in death by brother Allen Gamble and sister Doris (Gamble) Fisher. Survived by wife of 64 years Dorothy (Dick) Gamble; children Cindra Shearman and husband John, New Florence; Robert A. Gamble and wife Kathleen, New Florence; Lu Ann Hosek, Aldie, VA; Lindon D. Gamble and wife Mary, New Florence; Vernon Gamble and wife Phyllis, Winchester, VA; grandchildren Eric Gamble, Valerie Strohm, Lindon C. Gamble, Timothy Hosek, Nicole Englert and Stephen Gamble, Josh Shearman and Alicia Shearman, 6 great-grandchildren; brother J. Conrad Gamble, Bolivar. Co-owner of Gamble and Gamble Construction Co., former employee of EADS Engineering, member of the Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, 32nd degree Mason, Coudersport Consistory as well as a member at Trinity Presbyterian Church where he was a past trustee. He enjoyed train watching and loved dachshund especially his dog, Candy. Friends received 7-9 pm Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 AM at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 117 Chestnut Street, New Florence. Internment Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, PO Box D, New Florence.
