Nist, Rita Ann, 86, Armagh passed away January 13, 2016 following a brief illness. She was born July 19, 1929 in Johnsonburg, Pa a daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Murray) Thompson, one of eleven children. She was married to Leo Nist who preceded her in death on December 21, 1995. Rita was a register nurse and graduated from the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing. She also was one of the original members of the Citizen's ambulance Service, Armagh Station and retired from Indiana Hospital. She is survived by one son Leo (Kathie) Nist, Larimore, ND; and six daughters Mary and Barbara Nist, Armagh; Paula (Bradley) Hencel, Brush Valley; Eileen, Kate and Julie Nist, Morgantown, WV; two grandchildren Ryan and RJ Hencel; two sisters and her beloved dog Jack. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Friends received 10 am till 2 pm Saturday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh. A service for Rita will be held 11 am Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Washko officiating. Future inurnment Armagh Cemetery.
