Rebecca J Boring

Rebecca J Boring 80 of Carmichaels, PA died on June 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 12, 1945, in Heshbon, PA a daughter to the late Raymond and Viola (Weisner) Pitt Sr. Rebecca had been a Greene County resident since 1996 after moving from Johnstown, PA. She graduated from United High School in 1965. Rebecca married the love of her life Clair H Boring Sr. on March 25, 1966, and they were happily married for 22 years until his passing on July 9, 1988.

Rebecca was a homemaker all her life and loved taking care of everyone, most people that knew her called her Mom. She held a lot of titles in her life with Meemaw being her most favorite title. Rebecca loved doing plastic canvas for her family and friends, most of the time creating things out of a picture in her head. If there was something someone wanted and they showed her the picture she was more in likely able to make it. She also loved crocheting blankets and rugs for everyone. When she was able to she loved riding on the back of her Son-In-Law's Harley Davidson. She always looked forward to her summer camping trip with her family to attend the Pitt Family Reunion every year.

She is survived by her five children, Ruth (Thomas Sr) Lantz of Carmichaels, Clair (Carmen) Boring Jr of Lewisberry, PA, Charles (Rose) Boring Sr. of Johnstown, PA, Timothy Boring of Carmichaels, and Cynthia (Mark) Pettit of Holbrook, PA, her brothers Francis "ED" Pitt Sr of Beaverdale, PA, Bruce (Brenda) Pitt Sr of Mineral Point, PA, and sister Susan Zibura of Warren, PA. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren that she was blessed with, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by her brother Raymond Pitt Jr and sisters Mary Moyer, Sarah Adams and Rachel McAnulty.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 1PM till time of service at 2 PM at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St. New Florence, PA. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
