Obituary

Patricia Ann Robey, (Johnson), of New Florence, PA, was reunited on March 30, 2016 with her husband and love of her life, the late Joseph W. Robey, Jr. The daughter of the late John C. Johnson and Annie S. (Thompson) of Charles, MD and a graduate of LaPlata High School class of 1952. She retired from the First American Bank of Virginia after a long career. She shared the love of the Chesapeake Bay and boating with her husband of 60 years. Patricia was a member of the City of Alexandria Police Wives Club and CASA. As a dedicated humanitarian she made trips to El Salvador, Guatemala, and Romania to help those in need. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Johnson. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Patricia is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving and devoted children Cynthia A. Wassenberg, (John J.), Sterling, VA, Patricia T. Grohal, (Ted), Johnstown, PA, David B. Robey of Woodbridge, VA, Joseph V. Robey, (Francis), Portsmouth, VA, MaryAlice M. Conrad, (Ronald), New Florence, PA, and Kevin Jacobs, (Kimberly) Mechanicsville, VA, Grandchildren: Jessica L. Nihoff, (Cory), Klayton B. Hawkins, (fiancé), Sue Ann Christian, Alexandra E. Wassenberg, Devon A. Robey, Stephen J. Robey, Lauren Cefaretti, (Ryan), Charla M. Conrad, Cybil Swank, David J. Swank, Jake and Kim Marie Jacobs. Great grandchildren: Austin D., Joshua W., Kaleigh A. Lawson, Conner and Kaitlynn Nihoff, Cash A. and Ava M. Hawkins, Samantha Swank, and Gia A. Cefaretti. Patricia is also survived by her sister Sadie Ella Brewer, Decatur, GA, husband James, sister–in-law Marilynn JoAnne Robey, of Elm City, NC., as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude caregivers of Westmont Woods, formerly The Presbyterian Home of Greater Johnstown. Friends received 3-7 PM Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Monday at Holy Family Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward, PA with Rev. Robert Washko officiating. Internment West Fairfield Cemetery, New Florence. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research at www.michaeljfox.org.
