Patricia Ilene "Patty" Long, 86, New Florence, passed away September 27, 2025, at home.  Born July 2, 1939, in New Florence the daughter of the late William & Eva (O'Leary) Boring.  Also preceded in death by husband Alfred E. Long; brothers Ralph, Othea, Sr., John, and Dean Boring; sisters Elizabeth Tompkins and Adeline Morrow; and adoptive son Othea "Jackie" Boring, Jr.

Survived by special friend Ronald "Peck" Gehring of New Florence, and his family.  Adoptive daughters Ilene Lee, and Lethia Smith both of Johnstown, special niece Deborah Phillips of Johnstown, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Patty was a retired seamstress from Bestform and a long-time caregiver to her family.  She enjoyed cooking and going to the casinos.  Patty loved her family.  She was a member of New Florence Methodist Church.

Friends received 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Monday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, where service will be held 11 AM Tuesday.  Pastor Sharon Hamley, officiating.  Interment Fairfield Cemetery.
