Oscar F. Ewel, 92, New Florence, passed away December 2, 2021, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.  Born November 12, 1929, in Tonawanda, NY, the son of the late Frank Henry and Vivian Ruth (Golden) Ewel.  Also preceded in death by wife Thelma Jean Ewel, granddaughter Ashley Eckert, Brothers Harry, Robert and Frank. Sisters Dorothy, Ruth Caples, Mary Ellen Gorgone.  Stepchildren Vincent, David, Mike and Tim Knee, and Robin Eckert.

Survived by sister Florence Bywater, Johnstown.  Stepchildren LaBonna Lee, Claysburg; Joy Karns, Bedford; Ilgra Eckert, McKeesport; Kelly Miller and husband Patrick, Bradenville; grandson Shawn Curtis, Johnstown, granddaughter Melissa Curtis, Indianapolis.  Numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Oscar enjoyed his time tinkering and building things around the yard, and playing the lottery.  He was a US Army Veteran and retired from Morris Paper Co.

Friends received from 11:30 AM till time of service at 1 PM Tuesday at Kenneth A.
