Obituary

Oliver M. "Bud" Arford, 69, of Robinson died Friday, October 27, 2000, at UPMC Lee Regional, Johnstown. The son of the late Oliver E. and Ruth V. (Hall) Arford, he was born December 29, 1930 in Colver. Mr. Arford was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Duane Boring VFW Post 9310 and the Church of the Brethren, both of Robinson. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown Works. Surviving are his wife, the former Jane Betts; children Marty, Knoxville, Tenn.; Cindy, wife of Randy Kopka, Armagh; Judy, Robinson; and Jodi, wife of Craig Sisitki, Robinson; grandchildren Breanna Sisitki and Kylie, Lacey and Cody Kopka; and sister-in-law Ester, Robinson. He was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin and sisters Mona Nixon and Rea Finnegan. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7-9 PM, today at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday at the Church of the Brethren, Robinson, with the Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Germany Lutheran Cemetery with graveside military rites by local veteran's organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Brethren, Route 259 Highway, Robinson, PA 15949, or to Tri-Community Ambulance Association, Third and Market Streets, Bolivar, PA 15923
