Jones, Minnie Amanda, 88, Seward passed away June 2, 2016 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born October 18, 1927 in Heshbon, the daughter of the late Stanley and Amanda Louise (Harnett) Cherry. Also preceded in death by husband Merton S. Jones in 2008, sons Roger V. and Merton T. Jones; daughter Kathleen "Sis" Hunt; grandson William Hunt; great-grandson Evan Sowers; brothers Stanly Cherry, William Cherry; sisters Florence Kuhar, Helen Berninni. Survived by children Stanley R. Jones and wife Cynthia, Seward; William J. Jones, Seward and Ethel Gregory, Knox; grandchildren Michelle Carlton, Stanley M. "Buzz" Jones, William Jones, Jayme Cole, Cynthia Bowers, Monica Sowers, Derek Jones, Adam Jones, Zachery Gregory, Samuel Gregory, Amanda Gregory and Abbie Gregory; great-grandchildren Taylor, Sabrina, Nick, Chase, Maddison, Ashley, Sara, Colt, Noah T., Noah L. Alydia and William; sisters Ethel (Cliff) Rudnik, Fort Myers, Fla.; June (Herman) Meusegaes, Steubenville, OH. Minnie enjoyed cooking, baking, teaching ceramics crafts, shopping with and for her grandchildren, her flower garden and providing care for the elderly. She was a wonderfully supportive mother to all her children and would wave good-bye until you were out of sight. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday and 11 am till time of service 1 pm Monday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, Pastor Gary Small officiating.
