Michael J Miller

Michael Joseph Miller, 68, New Florence went to be with the Lord July 21, 2025. Born August 25, 1957, in Dayton, PA the son of late Henry "Dean" and Mary Rose (Pangallo) Miller. Also preceded in death by grandson Nathan Richardson, brother James "Jimmy Dean" Miller, and special cousin Glenn Geidel.

Survived by wife of 22 years, Lisa (Weaverling) Miller. Daughters Heidi Miller, Brookville; Wendy (Miller) McNaney and husband Bob, West Newton; Kelly Sorchilla and husband Kevin, Seward' Kristy Penrose and husband Ken, New Florence. Grandchildren Samantha (Burchell) McNaney and husband Rev. Chris, Friedens; Lucas Richardson-Fidazzo and wife Faith, Irwin; Ellie (Richardson) Powell and husband Evan, West Newton; Abigail and Zachariah Richardson, both of Friedens; Caleb, Mary and Grace Richardson, all of West Newton; Colton McNaney and wife Ashley, Hutchinson; Chase McNaney, Ruffs Dale; and Michael Lovett, Brookville; Breea Anderson, New Florence; Morgan Penrose, Vintondale; Kenny Penrose, New Florence; Brycen and Maddalena Sorchilla, both Seward. Four great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Martha "Marty" Fye and husband Bob, Sigel; John Miller, Sigel; Melissa Mauk, Reynoldsville; Jennifer Chaffee and husband Ken, Summerville. Special cousin Ruth Geidel, Ford City; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, his special shih tzus Charley and Brooke.

Michael enjoyed dirt track racing and had his own car at one time, riding motorcycles, hunting, watching birds, squirrels and all other wildlife, vacationing in the Outer Banks and teaching his children how to work on cars. He was a canine lover, and avid hunter and reader. He enjoyed the outdoors, cutting trees, and working on his Kubota with the help of his grandson Brycen. A career truck driver retiring from both Pepsi and Carbon Direct. He was a member of the New Florence VFW and Shannon Creek Baptist Church. 

At his request there will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements in care of Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence. Memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to Action for Animals, 386 Sate Rt 217, Latrobe, PA 15650, where he once worked.
