Michael C. Kelly, 79, Seward, Passed away January 30, 2026, at James E. Van Zandt V.A. Medical Center, Altoona. Mike was a resident of 6 CLC since August 2023. Mike was born May 21, 1946, in London, England and was preceded in death by his parents David E. and Evelyn (Walsh) Kelly, and his younger brother David E. Kelly, Jr. SGM Ret.
Mike is survived by sisters Margaret Kelly, and Abby McGinnis (Jeff), all of Seward, and close Nephew Sean McCauley, Bellefonte. Also surviving are his niece Melissa (Kelly) Rupp (Joseph), and nephew Jack Kelly (Beth), all of Wisconsin, and their children; and special friend Rhett (Croyle) Strawser.
Mike loved to travel, fish, and enjoy life to the fullest. He had a particular interest in current events and politics. He wore his red hat with pride.
Mike was a member of United Ironworker's Union, VFW Post 10069, Port St. Joe, FL, and a past Seward Boro Councilman. Also, member of Armagh-Seward Presbyterian Church and Seward Methodist Church.
Mike's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at 6 CLC at Altoona VA for their loving care and commitment to Mike and his family during his time there. We would also like to thank all friends and family who have prayed for Mike and us for the last several years.
