Merton Thomas Jones, 61, Seward, died October 10, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 10, 1951 in Indiana the son of Merton S. and Minnie (Cherry) Jones. Preceded in death by father and brother Roger Jones. Survived by mother of Seward; children Derek Anderson and fianc Nicki Jamison, Armagh; Monica (Anderson) Sowers and husband Jeff, Bolivar; Jayme (Carlton) Cole and husband Calvin; and Michelle Carlton both of Albany, GA; grandchildren Taylor, Nick, Chase, Madison and Evan. Brother of Stanley R. and wife Cindy, Seward; Kathleen Hunt, Knox; William J, Seward; Ethel Gregory and husband Don, Knox. Loving uncle to several nieces and nephews. Member of Seventh Day Adventist Church; enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his faithful dog Bumpy. Friends received 5-8PM Friday and 11:30 till time of service 3:30 pm Saturday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, PA. Interment Penn View Mount Tabor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
