Merle Allen Penrose

Merle Penrose, 86, Robinson passed away February 19, 2026, at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, Pa. Born August 19, 1939, in West Wheatfield Township the son of late John and Bessie (Albaugh) Penrose. Also preceded in death by these brothers and sisters, Gladys Brendlinger, Edith Garland, Ray Penrose, Dean Penrose, and Janet Fry.

He is survived by sister-in-law Mary Penrose and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Merle was a long-time employee of Idlewild Park having worked in maintenance and as a ride operator, operating one the trains for numerous years. He was also an avid hunter who enjoyed being outdoors.

Future private interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence.
