Chesla, Mary C., 88, New Florence RD#1, died Monday, March 25, 1996 at the Twin Peaks Personal Care Home in Bolivar. The daughter of Andrew and Susan (Janoski) Barbus, she was born February 2, 1908 in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Chesla was a member of St. Mary's Church, New Florence, and the Rosary and Altar Society. Surviving are one daughter Helen Chemski, Millville, N.J.; three sons, Leo; John, married to Patty Kerr; and George, married to Kathryn Rebarich, all of New Florence RD 1; 11 Grandchildren and 22 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John J. Chesla; a sister, Anna Marie Chesla; and three brothers, Paul, George and John Barbus. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 204 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where a parish rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church, Seward with the Rev. Father John Wilt officiating. Interment will be in SS. Simon and Jude Cemetery, Blairsville.
