Louella (Hamilton) Shaulis, 97, Johnstown, formerly of Seward, passed away June 19, 2021 at her home surround by her loving children. Born Wednesday July 11, 1923 in a house on Spackman Ave., in Seward, PA, the daughter of the late Alexander and Lillian (Dorney) Hamilton. She was married to, now deceased husband Dwight Shaulis for 50 years. Also, preceded in death by infant daughter Dawn Dee Shaulis, grandson Jeremy James, brothers James and Robert Hamilton, sister Virginia Cauffiel, and son-in-law Matthew Mundorff.

Blessed with children Dennis Shaulis and wife Barbara, Melborne, FL; Deborah Shaulis, Melborne, FL; Denise Kaufman, Lancaster; Deanna Jamison, Johnstown; Darla James and husband Rod, Fairfield Twp. Grandchildren Joseph Shaulis, Steve Shaulis, Brad Kaufman, Bryan Kaufman, Nick Jamison, Alisa Whitehead, Nathan Jamison, and Joshua James. Great-grandchildren Emma, Jake, Lily, Liam, Quinn, Zane, Trey, Isaac, Kaylee, Trevor, and Camden. Also survived by sister Beverly Nields and her children Bob and Casi and their families, and nephews Bob, Rick and Bill Hamilton.

A life member at Armagh-Seward United Presbyterian Church, where she was an elder. A member of the order of the Eastern Star, Anna L. Windolph Chapter 183, Johnstown for 70 years where she was Worthy Matron in 2002. Graduated from Johnstown High School in 1942. Worked at Social Security in Baltimore, MD; Sylvania Electric in Altoona and Johnstown; Seward Post Office, and Riverside Market Bakery in Johnstown. Liked to travel, shop, dance and was a bowler for many years for the Alley Cats at Westmont Lanes. Enjoyed reading books and the newspaper, taking pictures, and enjoyed playing Scrabble. Loved having family picnics. She also liked flowers and caring for them. Loved to decorate for every holiday and season. Liked the latest fashions especially leopard print. In her later years she was happy living at Graystone Apartments in Richland and made many good friends there and enjoyed Bible Study Group at Graystone. Loved being with her grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren, also nieces and nephews and their families. Louella will be deeply missed by her longtime friends Geri, Dee and Nancy and many more very good friends.
