Lori Marie Nixon, 67, Robinson, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 25, 2025, at Beacon Ridge, after a life dedicated to caring for others. Born on July 12, 1958, in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Richard and Verna (Barbus) Nixon. Lori was a beacon of compassion and kindness to everyone who knew her.

Lori pursued her passion for helping others as an LPN, serving diligently at Scenery Hill Manor, The Lutheran Home, Johnstown, and Personal Home Care. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church having previously served on Church Council and various other groups, and a member of Duane Boring VFW Post 9310 Ladies Aux.  She enjoyed lottery scratch off tickets, playing bingo, playing slot machines at the casino, and sitting on her porch watching the hummingbirds.  Her warm spirit and nurturing nature touched the lives of many, earning her the love and respect of colleagues, patients, and their families alike.

She is survived by her beloved son, Todd Nixon and wife Stacy. Lori was a proud grandmother to her grandson Tyler and granddaughter Lauren, who held a special place in her heart. She also leaves behind her brother, Rick Nixon and companion Janesse, along with several aunts, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

Friends are received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence.  Funeral service will take place 11 AM Wednesday at the Faith Lutheran Church, 6810 Rt. 22 Hwy, New Florence, PA.  Rev. Marsha Adams officiating.  Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory, sharing stories, and supporting one another during this difficult time.
