McDowell, Lawrence L., 66, Seward passed away peacefully April 9, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 25, 1946 in Baltimore, MD the son of late Richard E. McDowell and Doris (McMullen) Taylor. Survived by children Larry McDowell, Derry; Rhea Sadler, Johnstown; grandchildren Matthew McDowell; Mykaela Starry; Hannah, Kristen and James Sadler. Brother of Richard McDowell, Seward; Doris Kalinyak and husband Ed, Johnstown; Ronald McDowell, Johnstown; step-brothers and step-sister Raymond and David Taylor, both E. Taylor Twp; Kim Taylor-Wolf, Columbia, SC; good friend Nels Lyle Fox and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family. Larry was a devoted father and grandfather, member of Grace Lutheran Church, retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown, Plant, graduate of Greater Johnstown H.S. who enjoyed playing cards. Friends received 5-8 pm Thursday and 10 till time of service 11am Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St, Armagh. Nancy Hoover officiating.
