Lavina Grace (Shetler) Ritenour, 96, New Florence, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born January 21, 1930, in Robinson the daughter of the late Leroy Newton and Myra (Lichtenfels) Shetler. Also preceded in death husband Carl E. Ritenour, daughter Linda Shomo, and these brothers and sisters Charles Shetler, Lydia Penrod, Leroy "Hammer" Shetler, Paul Shetler, Essie Belle Anderson, Floria "Doodle" Hicks, Earl Shetler, Helen McAdams, and Carl "Jiggs" Shetler.

Survived by son Carl "Bill" Ritenour and wife Donna of Seward; sister Jean Baker of Medina, NY; grandchildren Michael Shomo and wife Sharyn of Homer City; Jeff Ritenour and wife Jessica of Milton; Steve Ritenour and wife Jennifer of Elizabethtown; and Patricia McConville and husband Andrew, New Florence; great grandchildren, Chris Shomo and wife Simone, Emily Gustafson and husband Dave, Kalen Ritenour, Abigail McConville, Alivia Ritenour, Colton Ritenour, Max McConville, Jake McConville, and Nicholas Riternour; great-great-grandchildren Owen Gustafson and Clara Gustafson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lavina's greatest joy was caring for and spending time with her family. Her love and devotion shaped generations, and her legacy will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Shell will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to 365 Hospice for their care and support during this time. Nurses Jeff, Janelle, Lacie, Mary Anne, and Pastor Bob for their kindness and comfort to Lavina in her final days.

Friends receive 4-7 PM Thursday and 10 AM till time of service 11 AM Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Pastor Bob Kephart officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
