Larry W. "Moe" Rager

Larry W. "Moe" Rager, 77, Johnstown passed away November 3, 2026, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born July 26, 1949, in Johnstown the son of Gus and Florence (Williams) Rager. Also preceded in death by brother Richard Rager, sisters Jane Simmons and Carolyn Rager. In-laws Paul and Gladys (Boring) Shetler. Brothers-in-law Jack Steeves, Jim Simmons, and Greg Shetler. Sisters-in-law Lois Rager, and Robin Shetler. Nephews Ricky Rager, Jeff Steeves, and great nephew Justin Shetler, Jr.

Survived by wife Myra (Shetler) Rager, and puppy dog Gidget. sister Phyllis Steeves, and brother Harry Rager. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Paul Shetler, Jr., Connie Foust and husband Brad, Cindy Krause and husband Chuck, Betty Worthington and husband Eddie, and Ray Shetler. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and former wife Roxanne.

Moe was an Army veteran of Vietnam War, and a coal miner who retired after 41 years in various mine. He enjoyed boating, driving his 1930 coupe, car shows, and he was always tinkering. He also enjoyed joking around with friends and family and sitting on the deck with his friends.

Friends received 4-8 PM Thursday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where a brief service and military honors by the US Army and Blairsville Military Honor Guard will be held at 8 PM.
