Beaken, Krystine (Potts), 51, Bolivar, formerly of Saltsburg, lost her courageous long battle with cancer on April 1, 2016 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born July 15, 1964 in Tachikawa, Japan, the daughter of the late William Donald Potts and Nancy (Bjorn) Potts, Fort Mill, SC. In addition to her mother Krystine is also survived by her children Heather Ling and husband Joseph, Vintondale; Jacky Deason and husband Rodney, Danville, VA; Amanda Beaken, Fairfax, VA; Alan Beaken, Greensburg; Valorey Platt and husband Tyler, Bolivar; granddaughters Alyza Barnhouse and Mya Auen; brother Brian Potts and wife Angie, Lake Wylie, SC; and longtime companion of 16 years Edgar Auen, Bolivar. Krystine was a mother to many, she loved to spend her time reading, listening to music and her gardening. She loved her morning glories and humming birds. Friends received Monday from 1 PM till time of memorial service at 2 PM at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St. New Florence. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations may be made in Krystine's name to Susan G. Komen, Pittsburgh, 1133 South Braddock Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15218, to help find a cure.
