Murphy, Joseph, Jr, 85, New Florence went to be with the Lord May 30, 2014 at home. Born October 12, 1928 in Johnstown the son of late Joseph and Vera (Beck) Murphy, Sr. Joe was the father of 3 children he is survived by his son James Murphy and wife Cindy, Mexico Beach, Fla.; also survived by life-partner Pamela Krouse. He was owner-operator of Truck and Tractor Sales, Armagh; attended Calvary United Methodist Church, Johnstown; former member of Armagh Water Authority; past president of Johnstown Pilot Assoc., F&AM lodge member, 32 degree mason, and member of Jaffa Shrine. Joe was a hardworking, well minded person who tried to do better and had a softer side that a lot of people did not know. He was the longest living member of the Murphy family. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday and 8 to 8:45 am Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St, New Florence, Funeral service 10 AM Tuesday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 159 Chandler Ave., Johnstown. Pastor Wendy Henderson officiating.
