John A. "Jack" Ludwig, 85, New Florence, passed away May 7, 2024, at Concordia at Bethlen, Ligonier.  Born February 17, 1939, in Seward, the son of late Carl "Dutch" and Edna (Syster) Ludwig.  Also preceded in death by wife Arlene "Peach" (Detwiler) Ludwig, and these brothers and sisters, pfc James Ludwig who was KIA in Korea; Anna Ruth Wilkinson, Donald "Buckeye" Ludwig, and Shirley Hepner.

Survived by sister Donna Rocker, Johnstown; special friends Romayne Galbraith, New Florence; and Eddie Chesla, Greensburg.  Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired High Ridge maintenance supervisor.  He was an avid hunter who enjoyed golfing, attending gun shows, and playing cards.

At Jack's request there will be no visitation or viewing.  Grave site service with full military honors and interment 11 am Saturday at Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
