Colson, John R., 73, Seward passed away October 19, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian. Born November 3 1942 in Johnstown the son of late Albert and Dorothy (McElwee) Colson. Survived by children Sherry Lichtenfels and husband George, Seward; Johnny Colson, Seward; Edward Colson and wife Holly, Seward; Robert Colson and wife Stacy, Clyde; grandchildren Brody, Tressa, Jonathon, Josh, Chad, Drew, Austin, Ana, Issac, Hanna, Payton and Bryce; Step Grandchildren Brooke Lichtenfels; Michelle Robertson and husband Brady; Jennifer Thompson; Trent Lichtenfels and wife Trish; 9 step great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and extended family. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by wife Doris Marie Colson; step granddaughter Missy Lichtenfels; brothers Albert and Ronald Colson. John was a retired Iron worker with Local #3 who loved hunting, being outdoors, riding his quad, his pet dog Booger, family picnics, holiday get together, going to antique car shows. Also a former volunteer with Seward Fire Co. Friends received 1:30 pm till time of service 3 pm Saturday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh.
