Jesse K. Smith, 85, Clyde, passed away March 19, 2020 at home. Born July 5, 1934 in Philipsburg, the son of late Edward N. and Freda L. (Faughner) Smith. Survived by wife of almost 62 years Carole (Shiley) Smith; children Lisa Montgomery and husband Tim, Warwick, NY; Darren Smith and wife Pam, Clyde; grandchildren Erik Smith and wife Alexis, Cramer; Dan Montgomery, Warwick, NY; Deanna Montgomery, Cambridge, MA; Luke Smith, Clyde; great-granddaughter Scarlett Smith. Jess was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, fly fishing, crossword puzzles, and watching Westerns on television. He was a graduate of Penn State, US Army veteran, retiree of Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown and longstanding member of Armagh United Methodist Church. Due to current public health concerns, a private visitation and service will be held. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment Armagh Cemetery. Family assisted by Richard C.
