James Irving Miller was born to James and Nancy Miller on March 3, 1951, at Greensburg Hospital. Jim graduated from Laurel Valley High School in 1969, then worked at the foundry in Robinson until they closed the doors. He continued to work for many more years, even returning to work after retirement to places like Lamantia's and most recently Walmart in Latrobe, because he didn't want to be bored. Jim was the hardest working and most badassary person you'd ever meet.

Jim coached little league in Bolivar and played Santa for many years. He was the second father to his younger siblings who have fond memories of yearly trips to Idlewild and they will miss him dearly.

Jim was a selfless man who no matter what was always helping people, he would give his last dollar or shirt off his back. He donated to many charities and causes. He loved to hoke around and laugh, whether it be a funny saying, a silly joke or a vulgar adult cartoon, he loved them all.

Jim passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones in his home on Washington Street in Bolivar. He is preceded in death by his first love and wife Faye, his parents James & Nancy Miller. Brother Gary and sister-in-law Shirley, along with several other family members and dear friends. His beloved dogs Art, Bear and Dory, all of which we know, were waiting to guide him home.

He is survived by his siblings Karen (BJ) Johnson, Norm (Blanche) Miller, Pat (Crissy) Miller, Hazel (Shawn), Anjie (John). His loving girlfriend and caregiver Cathy and her daughter Mindy (who truly was the daughter he always wanted). Numerous nieces and nephews, friends, co-workers and Cathy and Mindy's family who thought of Jim as their own family. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

Jim was a very private person so at his request there will be no viewing or service.

Donations in Jim's memory can be made to ASPCA or St. Judes, which are two charities that we dear to him.
