James M. Burkett, 84, Bolivar, passed away on June 7, 2020 at home to join his loving wife, Katherine F. (Muir) Burkett, who passed away April 24, 2020. Born March 2, 1936 in Bolivar the son of the late George and Delnora (Wolfe) Burkett. Also preceded by his many siblings. Survived by his doting and loving daughters Theresa M. Allshouse, Fletcher, NC; and Jennifer Burkett, Bolivar; granddaughter Dannielle Mikolic; great-grandchild Phynn Rundle, both of Bolivar. Brother Lester Burkett, Hollsopple. Jim enjoyed gardening, photography, drawing, who could fix or build anything. He was a retired equipment operator from Torrance State Hospital. Private Inurnment Blairsville Cemetery.
