Harry E. Sloan, 92, New Florence, passed away November 30, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Born February 10, 1927 in Gray Station the son of the late John E. and Mary O. (Short) Sloan.  Also preceded in death by wife Rosemma Irene (Detwiler) Sloan, son Lawrence "Buddy" Sloan, great-grandson Isaiah Sowers,  brother Francis Sloan, sisters Ida A. Sloan and Mary Rita Sloan.

Survived by children Helen Clawson and husband David, New Florence; Rose Ann Smith and husband Robert "Smitty", New Florence; Bonnie Galbraith, Bolivar; Wanda Sloan and her husband Bruce Yeagley, McKeesport; Gale Sloan, New Florence; Audrey Sloan, New Florence; Debbie Marsh and husband Kory, New Florence; Dale Sloan, New Florence; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-Grandchildren; brother Charles "Len" Sloan, Blairsville: sister June Ann Sloan, Derry.

Harry was an avid hunter and avid reader who enjoyed working on cars.  He was a hard worker who would do anything for anybody.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier Street New Florence where service will be held  11 am Wednesday.  Pastor Sharon Hamley officiating.  Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to 365 Hospice 119 South Main St., Carrolltown, PA 15722.
