Waters, George I., 86, New Florence, went home to be with the Lord August 19, 2018, while in the comfort of his home.  Born May 3, 1932 in Smokeless the son of the late George, Sr. and Esther ( Thurau ) Waters. Also preceded in death by brothers Fred Waters, Sr.; Gary Waters and infant brother Charles.  Survived by loving wife of over 60 years, Emily (Glessner) Waters. Children Ron Waters and wife Annie, Mansfield; Cindy Knupp and husband Jeff, Beaverdam, VA; David Waters and wife Sue, Weedville; Daniel Waters, Greenville, SC; grandchildren Julia Waters, Christie MacAvoy, Cassey Jukkola, Charles Jeffrey Knupp, Corey Knupp, David Waters, Jr., Kenneth Waters, Bethany Clare Klopfer, Bruce Waters and Starr Daly; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Donna Luther, Clyde; Marie Schrift, North Carolina; Terri Blankenbicker, Armagh.  George was a member of Shannon Creek Baptist Church, US Army Veteran of the Korean Era, retired mine foreman, who enjoyed deer hunting and bass fishing.  Friends received 10 am till time of service 11 AM Saturday August 25, 2018 at Shannon Creek Baptist Church, 366 Shannon Creek Rd., New Florence.
