Frances "Franny" Smith, 79, Seward passed away May 28, 2024, at home.  Born May 29, 1944, in Johnstown, the daughter of late Lester Earl and Sarah (Cobaugh) Plummer.  Also preceded in death by children Frederick and Teresa Smith, granddaughters Kristie and Nicole Garshnick, and siblings Helene Dietz, Ronald Plummer, and Ruth Lehman.

Survived by children Timothy (Lori) Smith, Seward; Lisa (Terry) McGinnis, Shady Grove; Kelly Walter, Seward; grandchildren Frederick Smith, Robert Hawks, Shane Smith, Melissa Garshnick, Jenny Wozniak, Josh Crusan, Carrie Garshnick, Amanda Wilcox, Jamie Nicklow, Ashley Garshnick, Lenny Garshnick, Aaron Smith, Kate McGinnis and Morgan McGinnis; and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings Elaine Ryan, Seward; Charles Plummer, Fayetteville, NC; and Sally (Steven) Behar, Galloway, NJ.

Frances was a very family-oriented person who loved spending time with her family and her church, the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship.  She was a striving author who worked on two books to be published, a Johnny Cash fan, and enjoyed playing cards, gambling, fishing and playing bingo.

Friends received 2-3 PM, Sunday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia Street, Armagh, where a memorial service will be held at 3 PM.  Pastor Gary Tustin officiating.
