Berry, Elsa Victoria, 87, Prospect, formerly of Southington, CT, went to be with the Lord December 15, 2014 at Sunny View Nursing Home in Butler. Born October 13, 1927 in Springfield, MA the daughter of the late Simon and Viva (Eagle) Carlbert. Also preceded in death by sisters Vera Hilma Casey and Betty Warner, brothers Henry and David Carlbert. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Richard Berry; sons Rick Berry and Ronald and wife Laura (Heming) Berry; grandsons Nathaniel and Joshua Berry all of Prospect; brother Carl Carlbert, Southington, CT, and many nieces and nephews. Elsa was a Captain with the Salvation Army and spent her life ministering to others both in Connecticut and when they moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to their grandchildren. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Friends will be received Thursday from Noon till time of service at 2 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2251 Prospect Road, Prospect, PA with Pastor Ben Oesterling officiating. Internment will be immediately following at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army, Butler Corps, 313 West Cunningham Street, Butler, PA 16001.
