Elmer Joseph Buterbaugh, 95, Brush Valley, passed away November 26, 2019 at Walnut Ridge Memory Care, Greensburg. Born May 7, 1924 in Brush Valley the son of the late Albert and Irene (Buck) Buterbaugh.  Also preceded in death by wife Dorothy Buterbaugh, son Kenneth Buterbaugh, brother Jess Buterbaugh, and sister Lillian Rodgers.

Survived by children Dennis Buterbaugh and wife Yvonne (Zamba), Brush Valley; Penny Petry and husband Jack, Penn Run.  Grandchildren Joshua Buterbaugh, Brush Valley; Treva and Mary Jo Petry, both of Strongstown; sister Elle (Elnora) Dobson and husband James, Emporium; brother Bill Buterbaugh and wife Marci, Plumville; and special friend Marlene Eutsey.

Elmer was a US Army veteran of WWII, where he received a Purple Heart, and a retired United School District Maintenance Supervisor, who enjoyed fishing, traveling and Bluegrass Music.
