Ella Mae Rummel

Ella Mae Rummel, 73, New Florence passed away July 22, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, born November 21, 1952, in Latrobe the daughter of the late Carl and Sarah (Hoffer) Piper. Also preceded in death by husband Kenneth Rummel, Jr. Brother Charles Piper; sisters Twila Conrad and Thelma Galbraith. Great-grandchildren Lucas & River.

Survived by children Karen Machak and husband Eric, Seward; Bridget Grace and husband Gary, Armagh; Brian Rummel and wife Terri, New Florence. Grandchildren Christopher Machak and wife Shannon, New Florence; Elizabeth Harr and husband Raymond, Latrobe; Cody Rummel & wife Amber, New Florence; Alex Rummel and Avalon, New Florence; Haley Rummel and fiancé Shane, New Florence; Damon Grace and Shane Grace, both of Armagh. Great-grandchildren Deacon, Luella, Granger, Aspyn, Wren, Silas; Matthew, Emily, Waylan, Paisley, Amara, Delilah and Alica.  Brothers Elmer Piper, New Florence, Carl "Dean" Piper, Latrobe; sister Sarah Fligger and husband William, Mt. Pleasant.

Ella will be remembered for her warm spirit and dedication to her family her enjoyment came from spending family time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, being outdoors and quilting. 

Friends received 2-8 PM Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 AM Monday. Rev. Jonathan Adams officiating. Interment Fairfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations be made to Fairfield Vol. Fire Co. #1, 5414 Route 711, New Florence, PA 15944; Cliff Henderson Memorial Fund.
