Edward Chesla

Edward Chesla, 83, Greensburg passed away September 21, 2026, at Hempfield Manor. Born May 7, 1943, in St. Clair Township, the son of the late Andy and Anna (Barbus) Chesla. Also preceded in death by loving wife Jeanne Chesla, siblings Genevieve Fabrizio, Theresa Gorman, and Carl Chesla.

Survived by adoring son, Ryan Chesla and wife Melissa, Greensburg; precious granddaughters Alexis Chesla and Emily Chesla both at home. Several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

A proud Air Force veteran who served in the Vietnam War. His dedication to service not only shaped his character but also influenced the care he extended to those around him.

Ed was a retired field service engineer for WESCO, where he earned respect and admiration from colleagues for his diligent work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand. His heartfelt spirit was matched by his passion for life; he was an avid hunter and an enthusiastic fan who enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penguins, and NASCAR. Ed cherished the time spent outdoors and enjoyed sharing laughter and camaraderie with friends and family. He had a kind sense of humor in that he tried to make at least one person laugh each day.

Ed adored his pets, opening his heart and home to many furry companions over the years. He was a loving man who gave love every day of his life, finding joy in the simple moments spent with his friends and family, especially time with his granddaughters who he loved and adored so much.

Friends will be received 4-7 PM Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence and 10 AM till time of service at 11 AM Saturday, Pastor Sharon Hamley officiating. Interment Fairfield Cemetery. Military honors by the US Air Force and Blairsville Honor Guard.

Edward will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
