Rager, Earl Norman, Sr., 84, New Florence passed away July 21, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 19, 1932 in Blairsville the son of late Earl Norman Rager and Ella Mary (Butler) Rager Warfel. Also preceded in death by step-father Stamford M. Warfel, daughter Lucinda L. (Rager) Miller, brother Richard T. Rager, and former wife Nancy Jean Rager Butler. Survived by wife Eileen Gall Rager; children Sheryle Ambrose and husband Thomas, Brush Valley; Earl Norman Rager, Jr., and wife Connie, New Florence; and Martin Rager and wife Kathy, New Florence; Stacy Gall Myers, New Florence; grandchildren James (Kayla) Miller, Deiseree (David) Trent, Nicole (Larry) Brewer, Jada Ambrose, Thomas (Christy) Ambrose, Jr., Jessica Mack, Myranda (Elijah) Rager Fritz, Earl Norman Rager, IV; Tyler Rager; 11 great-grandchildren and one soon to be born great-grandchild; step-sister Dorothy Warfel, Arizona. Member of Ligonier Lodge #331 F&AM and a past master of Cambria Lodge #278 F&AM; Past High Priest of Portage #195 Royal Arch Masons; Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Cambria Council #32 Royal & Select Master Masons; principal instructor of 41st Masonic District School of Instruction for approximately 20 years; Past Puissant Soverign of Constans Conclave, Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine; also member of past master's club; Jaffa Shrine, Altoona; Jaffa Shrine Drum and Bugle Corps which provide charity work for the Shriner's Children's hospital in Erie; Hillbilly Clan of Jaffa Shrine; Johnstown Area Shrine Club; Past Commander of Oriental Commandery #61 Knights Templar; Knights Templar Eye Foundation; Valley of Altoona Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; Past Sovereign Prince of Altoona Council Princes of Jerusalem; Honorary 33rd Degree; Keystone Priory #26 Knights of the York Cross of Honor, Pittsburgh; a holder of the Order of the Silver Trowel from the Council of Anointed Knights of PA; Order of the Purple Cross; The Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter of PA; The Supreme Council of Sovereign Grand Inspector General; also Past Sovereign Master of Laurel Ridge Council #67 Allied Masonic Degrees; Past Governor of Conemaugh Gap York Rite College #34; Allegheny Mountain Forest #127 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, all of Johnstown. A retiree of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown and veteran of both the US Navy and Air Force. Friends received 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday and Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, where service will be held 11 AM Wednesday. Masonic Service 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
