McCarthy, Donald W. "Greenie", 64, Armagh passed away June 24, 2017 after a 20-year battle with M.S. Born September 5, 1952 in Meyersdale the son of late Harold "Buck" and Betty Jane (Kemp) McCarthy. Survived by wife Shirley A. McCarthy; children Patrick McCarthy and wife Stephanie, Clyde; Tess Altimus and husband Chuckie, New Florence; Robert "Bobby" McCarthy, Armagh; grandchildren Brianna, Lexus, Ian, Morgan, Keaton, and Kyla; great-grandchildren Brayden, Michael and Audreena; brother Fred McCarthy, Johnstown; Janet Felosky and husband Lynn, Johnstown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents his is also preceded in death by brothers Jim McCarthy and Ernie McCarthy. Greenie was a retired member of Construction General Laborers Local Union 910 in Johnstown, who enjoyed fishing and taking a walk around his hill side and spending time with his grandchildren. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 11 am Wednesday.
