Della M. Zimmerman, 91, of Bolivar, PA, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 10, in her home, surrounded by family. She was born on February 8, 1924 in Bolivar, where she was a life-long resident. She retired as a custodian from Laurel Valley School District in 1994. She was a long-time member of St. Mary's Church, Bolivar. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, and celebrating her Catholic faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Slim" Zimmerman; her parents, George Muir and Martha (Hart) Muir; and her siblings, Mary Ellen Boring, John Muir, and Martha Short. She is survived by her three children, George Zimmerman and his wife, Barb Zimmerman, of New Florence; Marie Boyle and her husband, James Boyle, of Robinson; and Bill Zimmerman, of Bolivar; her three grandchildren, Sheila Boyle, Jolene Boyle, and Christopher Zimmerman; her three sisters, Nora Gardner, Stella Bowser, and Katherine Burkett; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, at K & K's Flowers and Café, Bolivar, at 2 pm. A light lunch will be served.
