David "Red" Wakefield, 86, Armagh passed away peacefully surround by family on November 1, 2023, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born October 31, 1937, the son of the late Warren "Buck" and Grace Wakefield.  Also preceded in death by brother Gary Wakefield.

Survived by his wife of 66 years Loretta Wakefield, his children Susan Sikora and Kevin Wakefield along with their spouses and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, special sister-in-law Carol and his beloved dog Minnie.

Red loved his many friends and family and was the foremost authority on locating back roads, coon dogs, ice cream stands, trout streams and sandwich shops.

Father, brother, uncle, grand-pap, coon hunter, fisherman, storyteller, flea marketer, camper, mechanic, and friend, will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

At Red's request there will be no planned public visitation.  Family assisted by Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh.
