Hicks, David M. Jr., 53, Seward passed away unexpectedly at home August 16, 2014. Born September 11, 1960 in Johnstown, the son of the late David M. Hicks, Sr and Betty L. (Given) Boring and her late husband Frank E. Boring. Survived by wife Patricia (Crooks) Hicks. Children Deanne Hicks, Roanoke, VA; Lauren Hicks, St. Mary's and Richard Hicks, Seward; grandchildren Kiasiaa, Keshaun and Jalyssa Hicks, Roanoke, VA; Landon Adamsky, Seward; Ashlyn Graf, St. Mary's and Peyton Hicks, Seward; brother Robert S. Hicks and wife Kelly (Goodlin), New Florence, sisteres Michele (Hicks) Ritenour and husband Mike, Johnstown and Amy Jo (Boring) Dailey and husband Kevin, Latrobe; also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. Dave was an avid fisherman, reader and enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren and working on computers. His grandchildren ment everything to him. Friends will be received from 2- 4 and 7 -9 PM Tuesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Captain Elvie Carter officiating. Future inurnment at the convience of the family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at Ameriserv Financial to assist the family with expenses.
