Darrel L. "Bear" Shetler, 75, New Florence passed away January 5, 2022, at home.  Born October 25, 1946, in Johnstown the son of late Leroy "Hammer" and Zella "Billie" (Henderson) Shetler.  Also preceded in death by in-laws Robert and Patricia Keith along with numerous aunts and uncles.

Survived by wife of 41 years, Marjorie L. (Keith) Shetler; daughters Susanna Saunders and husband Orville, and Tammy Spitznogle and husband James, all of New Florence; grandchildren Scott Fetzer, Jr., Chris Fetzer, Zach Saunders, Jamie Spitznogle, Tyler Forsythe, Brittney Spitznogle, Trevor Spitznogle and Katie Saunders; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Eric Shetler and wife Tina; and sister Teresa Ling and husband Jeff, and several aunts, numerous cousins and extended family members.

Darrel was an Eagle Scout, who enjoyed model cars, stock car racing, loved going to the races, especially The World of Outlaws Races, Western movies and books, a gun collector, who worked for Bethlehem Steel and Johnstown America, also Lodestar Bus Lines. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  A big teddy bear who loved all kids.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 am Monday.  Rev. Scott Hamley officiating.  Interment Fairfield Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.thestuartfuneralhomes.com
