Charles Joseph Burkett, Sr., 90, Bolivar died July 22, 2012 at The Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born May 7, 1922 in Lockport the son of the late William and Hannah (McGraw) Burkett. Also preceded in death by brothers James, Bill, Frank, Woodrow, George, and Samuel Burkett. Sisters Nellie, Maggie, Laura, Ruth, Anna Mary and Alice St. Clair. Survived by wife of 72 years Mary Jane Antonino . Children Joe Burkett and wife Joyce, Dayton, OH; Bill Burkett, Mentor, OH; Pam Worrell, Ligonier. Grandchildren Trevis Burkett, Springboro, OH; Joseph Burkett,III, Kettering, OH; Melissa Burkett, Avon Lake, OH; Bill Burkett, Jr., Mentor, OH; Bob Worrell, Augusta, GA; Ben Worrell, Pittsburgh; Julia Dawn Lieghty, Ligonier. 7 Great-Grandchildren. Joe was retired from Florence Mine #2. A member of UMWA and Robinson Church of the Brethren. Friends received from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St. New Florence. Services will be held 11 am Thursday at Robinson, Church of the Brethren, 211 High St., Robinson, PA. Pastor Farrel Abraham officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
