Cecil Lindsey

Cecil Lindsey, 89, of New Florence passed away September 19, 2026, at Rose Haven. Born November 10, 1936, to the late Russell and Bertha (Brendlinger) Lindsey. Also preceded in death by wife Judy Ann (Garland) Lindsey, brothers Russell Lyle, Raymond and Ronald Lindsey.

Survived by daughters Diana (Jim) Hickman, and Cindy (Todd) Shoup. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. In addition, his siblings brother Tom (Jan) Lindsey, sister Pat Anthony, sister Carol Clark, brother Bill (Audree) Lindsey, sister-in-law Marge Lindsey, sister-in-law Pat Lindsey, sister-in-law Leora Jean Garland, sister-in-law Rita (Galen) Ressler, sister-in-law Linda Garland, sister-in-law Sally (Don) McClain, sister-in-law Hope Garland. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, of 62 years, and infant son.

Cecil enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, car races, and family dinners. He was very respected in his work. Cecil was a past mayor of Armagh, and a lifelong member of Clyde Volunteer Fire Company of which he was an active member for many years. He was also active in the Conemaugh Valley Beagle Club.

Celebration of life will be held at Hilltop Baptist Church, 4859 Rt. 286 Hwy. W., Indiana, PA on September 29, 2026, at 5 PM with a meal to follow. Pastor Steve Rearick will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to VNA/Hospice of Indiana County. Arrangements in care of Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh.
