Payne, Boyd, 79, Blairsville passed away August 10, 2019 at home.  Born November 10, 1939 in Fairfield Twp. son of late Alvin M. and Amy M. (Muir) Payne.  Also preceded in death by brother A. Leslie Payne; sister Shirly McKinney and infant brother Richard Payne.

Survived by loving wife of 61 years Joan C. (Boring) Payne; children Boyd Payne, Jr. and Eric Mitchell, Pittsburgh; Patricia Silk and Thomas, Strongstown; Gregory J. Payne and Wendy S. Myers, Blairsville.  Grandchildren Micheal Payne, Casey Payne, Samantha Krall and Matthew Krall. Great-granddaughter Amira Dewalt. Sister Jean Burkett, Tucson, AZ; brother Samuel Payne, Bolivar.  Member of Germany United Methodist Church who enjoyed flying, photography; restoring old cars, restore and building airplanes.  He was also a member of Experimental Aircraft Association and retired coal miner.

Friends received 6-8 PM Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 AM Thursday. Pastor Paul Funk officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Boyd's name may be made to the Germany United Methodist Church youth Ark Encounter Trip fund.
