Obituary

Hepner, Blaine Milton, 92, Armagh went to be with the Lord November 10, 2014 at Bethany Place PCH, Indiana. Born November 30, 1921 in Seward the son of late Asa and Adda (Bailey) Hepner. Also preceded two infant sons brother Charles and wife Leona Hepner, Harry and wife Mary Hepner, Fred and wife Georgia Hepner, Louis and wife Betty Hepner, Paul Hepner and brother-in-law Fred Bray. Survived by wife Delores "Dee" (Altman) Hepner; children Jacqueline "Jackie" Hess and husband Ronald, Armagh; Matthew Hepner and wife Michelle, Martinsburg; Melanie Huber and husband Donald; Maples, Fla; grandchildren Allyson and Jonathan Hess, Alexa, Zachary, and Madison Hepner; brother Raymond Hepner and wife Alberta, New Market, MD; Mary Bray, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; Nancy Marino and husband Bob, Bolivar; Linda Hepner, Rockville, MD; also these sister and brother-in-laws Alice Lehman, York; Lois and Barry Schuliger, Bowie, MD; Dorothy Altman, Phyllis and Andrew Kasper, Anita and Wes Altman, all of Johnstown; Betsy Altman, King George, VA and Cindy and David Sporat, Allison Park. Blaine was a past member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Morrellville, member of Armagh United Methodist Church an attended Blacklick Community United Methodist Church; Air Force veteran having served in both WWII and Korean wars, worked 30 years for Penelec in accounting Dept., life-member of Armagh-East Wheatfield Twp. Vol. Fire Co., he helped establish the United Area Lions Club and served as its first president and he was a Mason. Blaine enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling, cards and playing games with his grandchildren. He attended his grandchildren's games and when they would visit on special times he never wanted them to leave. An avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan who enjoyed watching or listening to the games. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch and would wave to everyone passing by. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh and 10 till time of service at 11 AM Thursday at Blacklick Community United Methodist Church, 1488 Bracken Road, Vintondale. Pastor Tom Phillips officiating. Military rite by local veterans organization. Interment Richland Cemetery.
